Key Stage One Sports Day 2021

Blackberry Farm came to visit us. 

 World Book Day 2020 - The Big Bedtime Read. SC2 and Year 4 enjoyed having stories read to them by Year 7 pupils. 

Year 4 and SC2 visited Castle Ward on 28th February as part of their learning about World War 2. They planted broad beans, made bread, tried on clothing and played board games.

Key stage one children have been treading the boards with lots of dress rehearsals ahead of the Nativity. 

We had visitors from the RNLI visit us on 8th May. They taught us how to be safe on the beach and in the water. We learned what the flags on the beach mean and what to do if we get caught in a rip current.

Cancer Focus NI came to visit us on 7th May. Each class had a visit from Scott and some even had Genevieve the Goat visit!

We celebrated the end of the Sustrans Big Pedal with a Superhero Day (5/4/19). We had lots of wonderful masks made for homework and raised £100. Well done everyone!

Key Stage 2 enjoyed the 'Terrible Trash' performance on Friday 29th, March 2019. 

Oliver 2019

We have been fortunate to have been donated new Hi Vis Vests by UPS. Some of us braved the weather and wore the new vests for a walking bus on 8th March.

We celebrated World Book Day. We had some fabulous costumes. Here are the winners.

The Armagh Rhymers paid us a visit. We all had a great time.

Y5, SL2 and SC2 had a geologist come to visit and teach us all about volcanoes.

Year 3 had a great time at the Ormeau Road Library. 

Year 4, SC2 and SL2 all had a great time at the Ulster Museum with Cinemagic learning about Ugly Creatures.

Key Stage 1 Sports Day, June 14th 2017.

6th June 2017 Sponsored Walk in Belvoir Forest for Multiple Sclerosis.

The Amazing Journey came to visit us and told us new stories we got dressed up and tasted new foods. 

Greenhill 2017

Years 6 and 7 visited Greenhill YMCA centre in Newcastle.  They had a great time canoeing, bouldering, climbing and getting very, very muddy.

Our fabulous actors for the Lion King Jr performance

Y4 and SC2 went to Castle Ward to learn about evacuees during World War 2. .

Cancer Focus NI came to visit us on 19th January.

They visited each class (except Y5 - they'll come back in the summer term to see them). They even brought some special visitors! Bernard the Bear came to Nursery. Genevieve the Goat visited Y1 and Y2. Y3 learned about the Fit Factor. Y4 were Food Detectives. Y6 & Y7 were Smoke Busters. 

The children from our provision classes visited Castle Court on Monday 5th December to sing Christmas songs. They raised over £240 for the charity Autism NI. We couldn't be prouder! .

Cinemagic came and we watched the Mighty Ducks. After we had a visit from two Belfast Giants: Brandon Benedict and Jackson Whistle. They talked to us about being fit and staying healthy. 

Healthy Lifestyles Week 2016 (6th -10th June)

This year we have kicked off Healthy Lifestyles Week in style. We had Captain of the Belfast Giants Adam Keefe come and visit. The children really enjoyed meeting a local (Canadian) celebrity and really took on board his message of eating well, exercising and getting lots of sleep. So expect to see squats, burpees and push-ups!  

He even stayed and joined us for our daily mile. What a star!
